Ouch. A DOT recordable especially with injury and tow involved in the accident

Yeah, with that track record, you're not going to look good to any company for getting hired. Their Safety/Risk Management would most likely say no.

When was the first accident? You may be able to get by on one showing up over, say, the last 3 years. But if both were fairly recent things get tougher. It's still not an impossibility though. I think I'd get the CDL A anyway if it were me. Then you can drive anything offered.

Hello I have a question. I have 11 points on my license, the most recent accident is a calendar year ago. There was 1.1k in property damage and the vehicle was totaled and it was my personal vehicle. The one before that is 2 calendar years ago, I ran red and hit a car with 5 people in it, again vehicle was totaled but no injuries. I am 20yo and thinking about getting a CDL-A. I got a speeding ticket but took traffic for it. With my driving record would this field of work be worth my time or should I wait until these points roll off.

When will the points start rolling off?
Get your cdl anyway; some outfit will hire you.
    Where is your location?

OK, get your cdl so you'll be ready.
Some 2nd chance companies may give you a shot when you're 21.
If worse comes to worse and you can't get a job before then, all you'll need is a refresher course which many companies have.
Western Express gives drivers a 2nd chance and hires 21 yr. old drivers.
    NO RECENT EXPERIENCE? NO PROBLEM.
We’ve pioneered the industry’s first “REFRESHER” program for drivers with NO RECENT EXPERIENCE, including drivers who have a CDL but didn’t attend truck driving school. Most trucking companies require you have recent driving experience regardless of how much driving history you have. If you don’t, they make you go back to school, which costs you time and money. But at Western Express, we recognize your past driving experience, or your past CDL A school training, and provide you the on-the-job PAID TRAINING you need to get on the road fast.
