Hopper, Dump O/O's & Drivers

hey mike welcome to the world of free portable storage lol nah just joking there were some classified ads in the kansas city star newspaper for hopper drivers and o/o and there was an ad in the high plains journal for the same those sites are easy to find and you should be able to search relatively easily to find them (they put the classifieds on the net as well as in th paper) probably based in KS or MO but that doesn't seem to be a problem for you check it out

The funny thing is I really haven't figured out why all of a sudden I am drawn to this particular segment of trucking.

I think I may just be burned out of the "Suburban Milwaukee" Lifestyle, and just want to try something different?

But at any rate I know enough not to fight the urge!

 

an early frost would devastate most of the bean crop in the midwest because of late planting that would not be good for my business on both ends

 

Our rice and beans are super late. Early frost will kill us. Also it's been such a cool summer the crop is very slow maturing on top of being late.

 

We definitely don't need an early frost this year. Beans are way late, a lot of them around here were put in about the same time as double crop beans (beans planted into wheat stubble after its cut or clover after its baled). Corn is late in a lot of places too. It was darn nice not running the a/c in my house the entire month of July and most of August.

Speaking of a/c, it quit in the T-600 last week. Dad said it quit all of a sudden and he could smell something when it happened. We're kinda thinking the compressor quit, since the clutch has some kind of reddish dusty film on it that it didn't have before. Having it looked at Monday. At least it wasn't too hot this week, he said he actually ran the heater Fri morning.

Wheathauler, you need to get one of those all stainless 125th Anniversary Timpte hoppers, have you seen those? I've seen them advertised in truckpaper, I think a dealer in Indiana and one in Springfield, IL had one. About $46,000 will grab one. You'll look so sharp the low buck cut rate junk runners will be intimidated and just stay home!
