Wal-Mart Road Atlas....pfffftttt bwaaaahahahahaha....I don't think I would be buyin a map of the United States that was probably printed in China. Especially if it's full of Wal-Mart directions. How much other info did they eliminate for all that? I would definitely stick with Handy Dandy Randy. Avoid MapQuest at all costs.

Walmart gets their maps from Rand McNally. They then add their locations to the book. It has little value to a trucker except for where the Walmarts are.

Something that is handy is a book called "The Next Exit." Contains a list of businesses within 3 miles of all of the Interstate exits across the nation. Now that's handy, and does list WallyWorld locations along with truckstops, and the direction to go from the exit. I see them at Flyin' J's, but amazon-dot-com might be a good source too.

How much does it usually cost? "The Next Exit" I looked it up online and it was over $100 :biggrin_2551: but maybe I was looking at the wrong one!

There are also have a pocket sized book and a couple of full size books with a listing T/S's. Just be aware that the listing are current as of the printing of the book and the T/S or business could've closed since any book you use. That has happen to me a few times. :biggrin_25510::biggrin_25510:

I stopped in the Pilot just up the road from me and they had the 2010 Trucker's Atlas out...a prohibitive $59.00.
