I usually reach 15 min, before my 11 hour drive, if not I stop half hour before. Today a car just stopped on exit ramp for no reason for like 4 minutes and I stop about 1/4 of mile from that exit ramp. I reached there and I just saw that I have driven 11 hours and 2 seconds. Can DOT in Ohio give me ticket for the 2 seconds?

They can, but they won't unless you give them a reason to find something to charge you with like mouthing off to the officer.
Of course by then it won't matter either as they will find something.

More likely is that your company will fire you.

I was serious. I have never gotten a ticket and I never argue with a police officer or be rude to them. Best policy is to nod your head and listen to them. It's my first time I ever had problem with logbook, so just concerned.

    Criminal. :)

You don't have a logbook problem. You have a time management problem. You're complaining that getting held up for 4 minutes made you go over your 11 hours.

What would you have done if you'd lost a tire, take your 10 hours on the shoulder of the interstate before fixing it?

Plan ahead for problems. No problems, you should be parked 30 or 60 minutes before that clock runs out.

Then don't worry about it. You will be fine. Get a good nights sleep and hammer down in the am.

I went over 1 second sitting in my parking space yesterday waiting on the computer to accept my entry.
I pushed the button, but it was slow to recognize the data change and gave me a violation even though I was parked and punching a hole through the screen with my booger picker.

I was so upset I went to sleep immediately and haven't given it another thought until now.

If you find an officer that anal, just smile at him, take the cite, and show up in court.
20 to 1 the judge will throw it out and ream him for wasting resources.

I think the state troopers monitor this website and your ticket could be in the mail
