Wow. The OM ate her entire dinner in one helping.

    Scarfed it too.

I realize we got after it today, but I didn't think it was all that.

You touched an interesting subject... setting roots... this is something I never did...
Since when I was a baby, my parents moved constantly... from one place to another, one school to another... difficult to make friends... sometimes they had to leave me at other peoples' places cause they had to work and nobody to watch me... I left their home at 20 yrs' old and kept traveling in Brasil, sometimes homeless, sometimes living in other peoples places... I had my own place for some years but then I went to the USA... different culture, away from friends, parents... had a husband and we lived in his home for some years but that was it... never had kids and no family... then we divorced and I moved again.. and then started trucking and living in the truck... time runs fast and I don't really miss any home anywhere... maybe I should find a place but still have no idea where that place would be... :biggrin_25523:
I lived in that apartment in the 70's but don't want to live there anymore... I sleep there when I need to stay in the city of Rio overnight. Will consult with tax auditor and accountant once again before I decide whether to sell it or rent it out... Probably will sell it cause I don't think I will live in Brasil 5 or 10 years from now...

    Interesting.

I went to 12 schools in 8 different states by the time I was in 10th grade.

What's freaky is 5 years were at only 2 different schools LOL.

I went to 5 schools till I was 11 and that was a lot for me... I had difficulty making friends, adapting, and it affected my learning as well...

Watching here a documentary about the Amazon jungle... that's a place I never saw in person... My boyfriend and I had planned going there in 1980... we were hitchhiking... but after 15 days on a dusty road, we changed our plans and went to Maranhão instead... towards the northeast seacoast... :D
