Alignment ordeal

    I will give that u bolts stretch for sure.
    Anyone ever see a Freightliner with rear air bags at an angle?
    Very common problem.

    Because it is a bad design, u-bolts secure axle and carry all the weight.

    When mine was done this week by md alignment after every adjustment the truck was backed out of the bay and slowly driven back in to the bay with out touching the steering wheel and then rolled to a stop with no brake application.
    After that it was shut off in gear with no parking brake.
    Then it was rechecked for accuracy.

    Yes
    I fixed mine with a porta power some new u bolts and a couple of small plates and my mig welder.

    You guys don't run the cross brace at the rear of the springs, under the airbags?

    Some Freightliner models have them my Columbia doesn’t.
    Once I repaired mine it hasn’t been an issue and it’s been a couple of hundreds thousand miles since the repair.
