Don't tell him to run an Edeljunk.
A Holley Truck Avenger is the only thing worth using. I dicked with Edelbrocks for years because I didn't want to learn how to tune a Holley. Then I spent an hour and learned and realized what a pain in the ### Edelbrocks are.

I ran an Edelbrock on everything old I’ve had and they worked well for me.RidgeRunner731, x1Heavy, InTooDeep and 2 others Thank this.

They'll always run "okay". But they'll never give the performance and tunability of a Holley. Especially in an off road application. Even when you do the spring loaded floats, they'll still flood and stumble in off camber and rough terrain situations.
Plus messing around with metering rods to tune the carb is overly complicated. Rejetting a Holley is simple.RidgeRunner731, D.Tibbitt and WesternPlains Thank this. -
