Thanks BR. I did contact Schneider Tanker div actually and it turns out that they only hire within a 100-150 mile radius from their North Jersey location and Mass is outside that area. They wanted me to relocate to NJ AND change my license over to a NJ license, which (having relatives in Jersey) I said no way! lol.
And yes China, I am getting anxious for that very reason but thanks also for the reassurance. I am waiting to see if Foodliner can wrangle something for me out of South Chicago for OTR with training since neither the Albany NY nor Ayer, Mass terminals are taking on any entry level trainees at this time due to heavy work schedules. The TM for Ayer who actually works out of Albany is checking Chicago for me so fingers crossed.
Also hoping to hear from Marissa at WW Transport recruiting on whether there are any options for me with them but that's unlikely. Come Friday if I still have no options Ill get back with Western and bite the bullet for a while.
You guys are the best, thanks again. -

Thanks again for the suggestions China. Funnily enough, H.O. Wolding was one of my earlier attempts and they declined my DriverPulse application iirc due to my 3 prior years unemployment.
Just contacted the SWIFT recruiter who has been hounding me by email to complete my application and wouldn't ya know it, halfway through the telephone interview she asks me if I have used drugs in the past 3 years and I did quit partaking of cannabis last summer about a month before I started CDL training. That ended the process right there because they require 3 years of no drug use (if you can call cannabis a drug these days with it being legal in most states, but whatever).
I'll contact Maines, USA and Roadtex though.
BR, thanks for the referral. My recruiter at Western is Brian Ashley. Should I continue with him or call your contact?
Also, I'll gladly PM you if you explain to me how to PM on this site. I looked around, but can't find a private message icon or function anywhere. -
You've never used drugs, even in high school. Why are you so forgetful....lol
-
What's the old Clinton line? "I didn't inhale!" lol.
Chinatown Thanks this. -
Still use betel nut though.
Never admitted to any of it during job interviews. -
Well I've had my lesson in honesty lol.
At any rate, interesting you should mention betel nut since I've spent some of my past three years training with a private mentor in Clinical Herbal Medicine (Chinese and Western). I'm very anti-pharmaceutical and pro natural medicine.Chinatown Thanks this. -
The PM function here is basically starting a conversation with someone. Goto the users profile and click “start a conversation” to get started .Chinatown Thanks this.
