I drive a 1999 e7-427 Mack 6 axle dump truck. So we got the front steer tires, the front, mid and back pony’s, the first pair of dual tires, and the rear pair of dual tires. Now, the INNER TIRE that’s on the FIRST PAIR of DUAL TIRES on the DRIVER SIDE is losing lots of tread on the inner edge of the tire. What could be causing the tread loss? I’m not sure what it could be. Could the tire be hitting something? I added a picture so you can have a clearer understanding of what I mean. Thanks in advance!
Tread is wearing off on one edge of rear tire?

It is an alignment issue. That or the tires on the other side of the truck are smaller diameter.
Generally if the tires arent the same diameter across the axle, the trucks differential will have to work harder.Studebaker Hawk Thanks this. -
Looks like it is cupping on that edge at the same time.
Could be a loose wheel bearing on that wheel.magoo68, baha, lovesthedrive and 1 other person Thank this. -

Shocks.
Replace all of them then get an all axle alignment. -
From the looks of it you are due for a tire.
magoo68, Dave_in_AZ and stillwurkin Thank this. -
Did you replace the tire next to it with a different size tire?
