I have been with them just about 2 years and I intend to get another job after the 2 year mark. I only worked with them to get enough experience to do something better.

Ever go into a burger joint and get bad service/food? How often does that happen? A lot more often than you get bad service and bad food at a high end restaurant. Yet, it's the people who work at the bottom end burger joints who are crying about how they deserve $15/hr. Do you think if the minimum wage was raised to $15/hr that the crappiest worker in the crappiest McDonald's would up his game and take pride in flipping burgers? No chance.
When you see a new person come in and ask questions like "CR England and Werner...which one is best between these two?", you can imagine what happened. Some schmuck went to a driving school, and took a sunshine injection in Uranus by a recruiter and got a prehire letter. Because of that, the only two companies that he wants to hear about are those companies that gave him a prehire letter. Now we can ALL tell him that they're both garbage bins. But that's not what they want to hear. These types of people are almost completely unwilling to put forth effort to find a better company. It's like the dirty burger flipper at McDonalds...he could take a bath and wash his clothes and do things to make himself more presentable to the general public, but he doesn't because it's more effort than he is willing to put forth, and he will justify this because he is working at McDonalds. You could pay this schmuck $2500/week and he would still be garbage.
Why would anyone pay top dollar for garbage? So, the Swift turnover rate is simply for the most part garbage flowing in and out of the garbage bin.JolliRoger, WildTiger1990, Dixiegypsy and 3 others Thank this. -
The revolving doors that results in the high turnover is all part of the business plan of the megas. They know what they could do to reduce the turnover dramatically but they make more money the way they are.
Show me one other industry that would tolerate even half of that turnover, even for just one year. Let alone for at least the 25 years I have been around trucking. Driver shortage, What a joke.Brettj3876 and Cattleman84 Thank this. -
