    the install CD will format it for you. You can do it without it, but there's not much point. You'd just end up with a laptop that beeps and not much else.

    You can buy a copy of windows at any big box store or officemax/depot. $99/$139 depending roughly.

    Don't waste money on vista. Wait until 7 comes out. Check and see if you qualify for the free upgrade to 7. If the machine is new enough you might not have to spend anything.

    Well I gotta do something,they keep blocking me,I dont own any money to them.Also they refused to give me the cd's for the laptop and traveling case I was post to get,part of my contract.

    If you have record of your payments, I'd play the better business bureau card and see what it gets you. And if they don't provide it, then do a report on them at www.bbb.com online and the bbb will work to get this resolved.

    Well im was going to do that but my contract is mess up,when I got the laptop,they wrote on ink that I own $1299 same as cash in 5 months.Now the black and white part says $2,100 some dollars.Im confused.

    Hmmmm did you get a payoff statement from them? That should suffice as an end to the contract for the BBB.
