I’m pretty sure around that time people where worried about hiding under a desk during a nuclear blast.
One could say they didn’t run out to buy desks all of sudden but hey your generations fascination of a desks underside could be the old “run out to get tp” of the new generation.

I’m thinking hazardous pay is warranted. If I’m going to expose myself delivering dry goods, while everyone’s in shut down mode, safe in their homes. Food, supplies that got to go, got to pay. Already dreading dealing with the crackhead Lumpers, they usually look sick on a good day.

The panic is not warranted yet.
It will be when there are stacks of coffins awaiting burials.
For now, all this is a self inflicted fear game.
I tell you our great grandparents would turn in their graves, if they knew how we react to this thing.
There'll be eggs and water. There is enough grains, cattle and swine herds to produce food
Poeple just need to keep working.
All of sudden, every one needs supply of tp and water for another 18 months. No wonder they can't keep up with resupplying. -
Everyone should pull as much cash as possible out and keep it on hand. Sometimes when things get kind of crazy, cash is king.
