Give me a kitty powered truck and I'll get right on it.

I pull some 10% grades and even a little steeper for a few hundred yards, I dont think with my c15 550cat I could get over a 26% grade loaded.
That picture does look photoshopped though, as it looks as if someone added the "2".
I also would rather not go down a 26% grade, if loaded you would want to start at the top stopped then go no faster than 10-15mph, full jakes, low gear.
Unless the 26% grade was perfectly straight with about 4 miles of straight afterward.....then let her rip, bet you get 130mph if you had a 1 mile section of 26% and started the top at 55.
Kbig wheels and cpassey Thank this. -
That is definitely photoshopped. The 2 is a little off.
But... I could do it! 26%.. HA! No problem!
-
The two definitely doesn't belong with the original sign. I didn't notice that right away myself. It was too early when I first saw it.
-
Down hill # 26%, I figure even with full jake in low gear something is gonna let loose by the time you get to the bottom if its a long enough stretch.

By using the "liquify" command in Photoshop to align the numbers correctly. Before I posted the pic

If you had put "I ain't got a jake brake, Stevens" on there. I would have believed it
Working Class Patriot Thanks this. -
Trust me.... That picture I posted is not photoshopped. I took the pics myself & can tell anyone exactly where it is at if anyone wants to go check it out.
In California off of US-395.... Turn west onto CA-108 & that sign exactly the way it looks in that picture will be sitting there 200 yards after you turn onto 108....
I had to take the picture. And the grade is practically straight up & down. No, I did not pull it. I delivered at the marine training camp at the foot of the grade.... Then decided it would be best to go back the way I came it.
