Great video! Thank you. Approximately what was the total cost to have this done on your new truck? I have a truck with exhaust differential fault codes that I’m wanting to sell and I wonder if this would clear it up vs having to buy a new DPF?

Also, is there a certain mileage interval that this is recommended?

It’s around 1700.00 to do the service. That’s all in, and includes the mandatory oil change. There isn’t a certain interval. If you have an APU and only have 8-10 percent idle time, maybe 400-500k. If you have a typical 40+ percent idle time, probably 250-300k.
For DPFs specifically, there’s a company with multiple locations called DPF Alternatives. They’ve been on Road Dog recently. I went to their website and they have a more advanced process than anything I’ve seen. It’s a multi stage washing process. The washing method has been gaining popularity, the DPF Alternatives method is pretty high tech.

Sort of surprised nobody in Indianapolis is doing this service. Closest looks to be Louisville. :(

It seems that this corona virus scare is significantly driving up rates and volumes. I delivered near Baltimore and there were almost 800 load posts at one point, that fit my criteria. Normally there might be 180 or so, and rates were much higher.
Lots of events are being cancelled, but Kansas City is on with the show. I’m hauling a full trailer of tables and chairs to a convention center in downtown KC for Monday from PA. It paid 1650. Normally a load back there might only pay 1200.
I had a couple short run in IL, WI, and MI that also paid outstanding.
So, practice good hygiene, touch as few surfaces as possible, so you don’t sick and enjoy the opportunity.

If we can all stay healthy I’m hoping for a great week next week. All of the store shelves are empty around here. Somebody has to fill them back up! Let’s hope it’s us on TTR.

FMCSA released the HOS waiver if you’re moving supplies, products related to the virus relief, whatever that means. However, I will not be suspending the HOS and neither should anyone else. These attempts to add flexibility or waive HOS only devalue your labor. Professionalism always seems to take a back seat to the me first mentality and greed. I will operate business as usual.

This has to do only with a specific freight and specific consignors.
    Most of loads won't qualify

In case of real need for medical supplies or food, I would not mind taking extra effort.
It would not be greed driven either.

    Do loads of manure qualify?
