They do with the UPS Freight division. UPS bought Overnite, which has become UPS Freight.

everyone keeps telling me not to quit, cause UPS is such a good company to work for, but i think i'm gonna anyway cause i want an OTR position. -

From what I understand, UPS Freight is something you can get into without having to be a package handler for a while. That is UPS Package operations, in which you work as a handler with the hopes of getting a job driving a package car, and perhaps one day, working as a feeder tractor trailer driver.
UPS Freight is an entirely different division. They have LTL and truckload, and if you have some experience OTR and they're hiring, you can usually get on.
Most of UPS Freight is also non-union. -
Can I interest you in a job at McDonalds? $42 a day is pretty sorry.
Unfortunately it isn't much better in trucking.
I was assistant manager at a UPS Store/Mailboxes etc. for a while. We paid less than that, but at least we could give you a 30 hour week! -
