Why are YOU getting off the truck? Was he the driver before you became co-drivers, or were you? Assigned at the same time? If so, the terminal manager will sort it out for you. They're not saying "But if you get off the truck, then we have bigger issues." get out now so we can slam an abandonment on you, they're saying that because they don't want you to get off the truck til you get to the terminal. Don't read things into what they say. Sometimes, people actually mean what they say. They're right, you get off, and you're playing into his game. As for confrontation, why should there be any? Once you talk to the terminal manager, you don't have to interact with him at all, whatever happens. So don't.

You've got to use lye. Lime just sweetens the soil.

I wonder why it hasn't occurred to the OP to start emailing his dispatcher or terminal manager instead of screwing around with Qualcomm...

    hmmmm....never thought of that one.
But didn't the OP say that this co-driver basically hijacked all his personal property, including his laptop?

And for that matter, my laptop is password protected...can;t even open anything without the password. And in a situation such as OP described, the only way co-driver could get my password is by threat of death.

And, THAT would be cause to call LEO , IMMEDIATELY, and have this man removed from the truck.....:biggrin_2556:

Yeah, nobody touches my laptops without permission unless they're moving it out of the way. Gently. Dude would wake up on fire, you're far more patient than me.

Well at least my hubby would never deal with that if for some reason he told me he wanted to team again but with some other dude and he was still alive.

He could simply say "My wife has this dog... and it eats people."

    Or...

"You really don't want to meet my wife."

Either or. -bite- Bad enough I am the one that chases off the idiot beggers because he's too big of a puss to tell them to get the hell off the truck and get job.

    Thanks for the responses everyone.

Well i was going to update when we hit the terminal. lol. What a joke.
We were given the load information and went to the pickup which was to be relayed at Carlisle, PA terminal. They got my hopes up as we pull away from shipper, ROUTE CHANGE! We are now to relay this load 190 miles away and go pick up load from FED-EX toi COLORADO. So here I sit just outside Denver/Commerce City.

Now, Im just floored. Lost. i guess if I read into it, the dispatcher is trying to get us miles to see if this situation straightens. Yea right. How many times do I have to let them know? I got all stressed as well again on the way out here and possibly let my situation worsen. Its a time Sensitive load-Fed-Ex. I drive from shipper in West Chester, Oh the entire night and make my 10.5 hours. We Driver swap and Im dead tired and fall asleep. When I wake up he is parked in a flying J only halfway through Kansas and I brought us within 75 miles of Misso/KS border on I70. I count the hours and miles left to our destination(I avg 50/per hour just to be safe) and I realize we are pushing really close on the drop time. I get upset and freak out on him. It really wouldn't have mattered I still hadnt had a 10 hr break I was 3 hours shy. Long story short, I try to assertively tell him Im getting rid of him and that we are just two different people and GETTING LOADS to DESTINATION on time are PRIORITY to me and that I just cant ride with him anymore. I call a contact and try to hook up another Co-driver, and now he is playing the send message to dispatch and DELETE game with me and going through Pilot's Challenge magazine and pointing out places where I will need to find employment if I dont stay on the truck with him

I dont know anymore. I did get a trac phone with 200 minutes finally today, but I still havent had a chance to CALL dispatcher. I don't know anymore, Im at my wits end.

I need a shower....... be back later
