To clarify, I don't think I ever gave the impression canceling loads is something I do on a regular basis. If you'd like to point it out to me, I'd be more than happy to go back and correct that because it's not something that I do on a regular basis.

I certainly do apologize if anyone got that impression. But let's not lose sight of the fact that the bulk of loads which are posted on the load boards are Tender rejections from the megas.

I noticed that DAT introduced "book it now" option. This must be their answer to Internet TS latest introduction of it too.
I have not seen a single posting that I could "book it now" yet.

Take it easy! It is not like embezzling your church funds. Nothing abnormal. All of us, more or less secretly, do it! A liar is the one who says no! The important thing is to remember not to overdo it so that the brokers, who treat us sometimes as prostitutes anyways:eek:, would not black list you. I personally would not have any qualms to ditch a load in favour of the one that pays $500 or more on the same lane. Under any naive pretense too.Provided that it is done with enough allowance of time for them to recover it.
Nobody is saint here. Not me anyways!
It is hilarious to think that the Truckers Report would ban you for it...LOL

I mean, if I'm honest, I'd rather you tell me, "Hey man, I just got a really good opportunity that I can't pass up," versus, "Oh yeah, uh, my truck broke down and I'm in the shop with a blown turbo."

That's just my thought on it, though. I know that even in my office, there's guys who'd flip #### on it.

I think I'm going to start a new thread in the freight broker forum. I'm going to call it, When the Saints Go Marching In.

You made it look really bad on you saying that you'd rather cancel and keep money for your family, than a broker. I don't remember exactly how it was, but I remember you prebooked a load to have something just in case and then when you found a better one, you just canceled the previous. There was no other way to interpret what you have said

Found it. Tell me this does not make it look like you do it on a regular basis

You are a good guy with A SOUL. I promise, I would never do it to you. If I told you I would haul it, then I would haul it.

And just exactly where did I say in that post it is a regular practice of mine? Because it's not.

However, you can bet your bottom dollar that if the spot Market jumps by over 40% overnight, and I'm under a contracted load, I'm canceling it. It just doesn't happen that often, and you guys know it.
