Hey looky there! The sign out front says this place has been sold. "Walmart Super Center, Coming Soon".[/quote]

This has happened in two places I know of ... sort of ...

In Fredericksburg, Virginia; the Servicetown Truck Plaza was torn down and the land became a Target store and in Frederick, Maryland; the I 70 Truck Stop was torn down and the land became a Costco.

Hell look at any walmart super center now days... looks like a Pilot... about 13 spots and 30 trucks trying to get in.. then a 1000 4 wheelers running around like mad. All its missing is a fuel island and some lizards.

They tore out the only truck stop in Haines City, FL. That left the Walmart and an abandon shop next to the Walgreens where you could still park a truck.

I saw, the last time I went down there, that they tore down the abandon shop... no more parking there... and the Walmart has now installed signs saying something like, "Do NOT park your truck here or we will throw your pet dog in the trash compactor and leave key scratches in your large car."

That leaves, uh, let's see... NOWHERE to park in Haines City.

Hahahahaha!!! I'm waiting for that sign to spring up here at our walmart. When the slots fill up they start parking long ways behind other trucks and theres no exit for that. The last spot is next to a concrete divider, so you see people trying to back out around everyone. Then back blindside around a corner.. on one side is a hellacious slope.. the other side is parked trucks. Plus they are backing into the flow of 4 wheeler traffic. Its a mess. Then you have the guys going across the parking lot and parking back there.

They have security camera signs up and "you will be prosecuted for littering and public urination" signs.. which is a crying shame. Its freakin walmart... not a T/A.. What gets me even more is there is a #### nice AmBest about 6 miles away that will hold at least 200 and its NEVER full anymore.

I have a sneaking suspicion that's why they don't allow trucks at that Walmart anymore. The area of the lot where the trucks parked was just ripe with the odor of stale piss. I'm sure the employees, who have to park out in the "white lines", got sick and tired of having their shoes stick to the pavement while walking into work.:biggrin_2552:

Alright.. let me ask you this. One morning at a Flying hook, I got up and crawled out of the truck with my toothbrush and bottle of water. Didn't need to walk the lot and go inside.. didn't need anything. So i sat on my steps on the frame and brushed my choppers took a swig of water and spat it towards my 5th wheel. Its my truck I can spit on it... Another driver was walking by and you would have thought I spit on him. He was about 4 trucks away and threw a fit about it. Now.. was I in the wrong there?

Well, I'm kinda torn on that... used to be I didn't give two flying schidts what you dumped/poured/spit in the parking lot. But lately it seems you can't set foot anywhere on the pavement that doesn't have some kind of piss, spit, boogers, poop, old coffee, coke, vomit, sunflower seed hulls, old chew, chicken bones... etc.

I'll tell you what, I don't pretrip my truck in a truck stop parking lot. And I spray the bottom of my shoes with Lysol when I get back in the truck.:biggrin_25523:

That being said, I wouldn't have thrown a fit about someone spitting a little toothpaste water... hell, I'd probably have congratulated you for having teeth!

I'd have to agree with you there, just a couple of months ago I get out of the truck and going to use the ladies room and I look over and i see a driver taking a dump right by his truck. He looked like he was drunk but i was a little disgusted by it. So Toothpaste with some water is fine by me lol.
