It makes the back of the trailer lower, and easier for a pallet jack to enter.

    MidWest_MacDaddy and Finfn1372 Thank this.

Went to pick up my next broker load in Tx and place shut down soon as I got to the gate. Guard with a medical mask put cones across the driveway. Was a load of air conditioners.

Pick up at Dr Pepper in Irving Tx to Reno now. Was supposed to get back to WM for a PM. Might as well just let me go to Reno and get the PM done on the road.

Hey there!! I relocated from IL to Clermont, FL. I thank you for helping you the area stores stocked.

I’m running out of the FedEx terminal in Orlando. (Transferred from Champaign in Oct.) Running to South of the Border and back five days a week.

    Hey There!!!

I hope you enjoy, or adjust to, the Florida Humidity better than I did... ugh.

had a neighbor in Boynton that had a similar gig... ran nights... grabbed a load from Miami and ran halfway up the cost where he met a guy running south out of Jacksonville... swapped trailers and both returned home.

    again, enjoy Florida
    (We just moved to SC)

That’s pretty much what I’m doing, but to SoB.

Did that and solo runs out of Champaign pretty much since I left Abilene.

My Dad lives about 45 mins from Dillon, SC near N. Myrtle Beach. We get together every few weeks in Dillon. Works out pretty good.

Know all to much about the FL humidity. Been trying to warn my kids about it and saying it’s coming!! They have no clue what they are about to experience...hahaha!

What's this Pop up fleet deal?. Never heard of it before. Food service has taken a beating. Our main customers were restaurants and schools and when was the last time anyone went to either of those?. A week ago there weren't enough tractors to go around and overtime was flowing. This morning there were 20 of them stacked up in a corner when I got back to the yard. 15 minutes later I got my walking papers.

Publix supplements their Company Fleet with a few OTR Folks (called their Pop Up Fleet) as needed when they can’t keep the stores stocked... like now... my understanding is there is a 20 Loads a Day committed to Knight/Swift/Abilene through 04/13... (But there are other companies here too) ... they send us out and back each day with 3-5 stops on the truck... I’ve been bouncing back and forth between Jacksonville/Daytona and Naples/Marco Island areas... not a bad gig if you want local... Publix has a huge DC in Boynton Beach if you are looking... can’t go straight into a Truck but must come up within the organization but seems like a good local option once you get behind the wheel.

Federal Government just passed a 6 Trillion Dollar Deal where displaced folks can get up to four months of what they were making if this goes on that long... so check into that too.

Yeah, I knew a full time Publix truck is very difficult to get into...if you don't want to work in a warehouse for years ( I don't, did that for too long). I was wondering if maybe they were taking on drivers on a casual, as needed basis. Would be good too as I live 5 miles away from the Boynton DC.

Aldi has a DC in Royal Palm. Sharp Transit is the trucking company. They are offering a $1500/wk salary here in MI.
