The windshield is the cheapest piece of glass to replace, even though it is the largest.

Don't ask me how I know...

I think you could put any major city in that category and lots of smaller ones these days.

Screw that. I m not drilling a hole in my windshield.

A quick couple rough calculations and I am coming in through their machine to release it. Enough drill holes or angle grinder searches would have that thing off in 30 seconds.

Not very often there wasn't a bag with my 18 volt drills and side grinder and sawzall in my personal vehicle. That and 4 charged batteries. That's just the way I Roll.

I know if I go out with my semi I will have an Arsenal of tools.

I walked out of a bar/restaurant one night about 25 years ago to see my van on the hook

Ran up on the guy and he maced me That layed me down in a hurry .

Tow company was a total scam that got outed by the local news removing-planting towing signs.

They wouldn't release it without 250 cash to tow it 500 feet around the corner into their yard

Problem is I didn't have the cash on me but I had 5000 from my sales at my 2 stores I had picked up. Hidden under the seat.

Had to call the cops to get them to let me in there to get the cash to pay them.

I kept telling them my wallet was in the van. Their tell us where it is we will get it

    Yea not that Stupid.

Tow Truck drivers like that are a Special kind of DirtBag and most of them have relatives that are cops that got them into accident rotation work, so you never know which side the Law is on.

You keep saying that, but what you're not saying is whether or not the property owner has a contract with the towing company. If not If then the record drivers were trespassing. If there are no signs posted to that effect then the trucking companies should be able to sue the wrecker company into bankruptcy.

Invest in a battery powered angle grinder instead.

course the property owner does. dont dig to deep in the truck stop lawery stuff. he was in a no truck parking or tow zone. it doesnt matter if it was to go in an buy stuff. the towing company has the right to be there and enforce it. do i thk anything over $1500 tow is over board. yes. do i understand what he wanted to do in walmart. yes. but common sense would tell you to not park there. look at rocks, curb, yellow poles, etc. all it takes is common sense. js

I am usually the last guy to ask the government for a new rule. But allowing a private company to leverage a fine to a private citizen is wrong. The city or state is going to have to regulate what a tow company can charge.
Also if a store manager is telling people people they can park only to get them booted is fraud the should be prosecuted.

It should be law that every grocery store has to provide a certain amount of parking spots for trucks... just like handicap spaces. Truck drivers need to eat too.

i'm ####ing sick of truck drivers being treated like 2nd class lepers.
