Freightliner’s Alliance batteries are made by East Penn. they seem to hold up very well.
Years ago Exide made all the batteries for Paccar and they had lots of problems with them. Like has been said they didnt last long. Wouldnt charge well and some would crack and leak. Not sure who makes them now. I haven't bought a battery from Paccar in 20 years because of that.
Just like has been stated already about Higher crank amps. Anything over 1000 seem to not last as long in the long run for some reason. Maybe they generate to much heat or don't tolerate deep discharge cycles that shortens their life.

..never heard of volvo brand batteries , only thing i was wondering is metal plates connecting battery terminals from volvo , one friend recommended them but i am not sure if they good or i can use them because 2 of my batteries in the middle sit next to each other , 2 others spaced about inch on each side due to the bolts on the battery box bottom
...last time i purchased batteries at the Mack dealer because its closest to my yard ...not sure what brand was it , gave me good price last time
those plates i was referring

There are only a few manufacturers who actually build batteries and then contract label them out to who ever wants them.
East penn is one company as is Johnson controls and there are a few others -
I have been getting ready to drop in a generic sealed battery instead of the Interstate. I managed to get through the second winter on this one so far. But can already tell shes tired already.
If I got 4 years out of a battery then alls well. This would be my second interstate that failed to get past two years. So I will be dropping something else into it's place.
If there is a battery I remember its Diehard from Sears, a brand. For whatever reason they were able to be reliable. But like all batteries there is a certain point where it wont take a charge and thats that for it.
