That’s old ignorant thinking, maybe the very best masks leave for medical. Now diy reusable and multiple washable masks are the current rage, due to not knowing who is infected always wearing a decent self made mask can lower the spread. Talking spews out the virus they say, think about how many times you’ve seen a person talk and saw spit fly out mouth, that’s just the large particles you are seeing.

Everybody should be wearing a mask or learning to make something to cover it. Can make with at least double wrapped cloth and two hair bands and it looks legit. Videos on YouTube

The point is, all those masks don't actually do anything to help prevent the spread of disease. Actually they tend to help the spread by giving the wearer a false sense of them being effective.

Well, I’ve heard the same storyline as everyone else. However recently I heard that masks are now being suggested. I do know that all Heslth car Professionals wear them, some wear goggles also. The virus attacks mucus linings, like any other cold virus. Nose throat eyes and lungs. It depends on whether or not it gets to the lungs, if it’s dangerous or not. A clean mask, along with goggles would be worthwhile, I’m not wearing one, myself. But maybe I will. I’ve got some from home. I’m supposed to use them when sweeping trailer. Already had a bad reaction once, from some kind of powder#### I hauled. Besides maybe I’m already infected and don’t know yet. I travel to two of the hot spots every week. I’m not advocating either way. But I just heard a Doctor explaining that masks can help in avoiding it. Maybe a run on masks was the original fear. So much is unknown.

Since we all should be wearing masks. I think a petition should be started for everyone be made to wear Bubble Suits. After all there is a chance you could die just walking out your door in the morning. If anyone needs a reference..

I must say...what kind of mask did you buy her? Can't imagine a surgical mask being scary. Being as it's two pieces of fabric an some elastic. An most are plain an boring just like the ones they use at the hospital.

When I was in my teens, 20's, 30's & 40's, I welded, grinded, cleaned barns & coops, sanded floors, brake jobs, installed fiberglass, spray painted, etc. Mask, why I don't need no stinkin mask. Well, now at 60, even though I never smoked, my lungs are scarred. I can't take dust at all anymore. Now, I have to use a mask or a respirator, depending on what I'm doing.

You young guys, listen up, protect your lungs now. They'll thank you later. As far as corona goes, naw, I'm not there yet, but @Sirscrapntruckalot that bubble wrap is intriguing.

Now their saying the masks may work, and they didn't think they would cause its.."new". They used Masks during the SARS outbreak over in China. Which is why you saw so many over start using masks once Corona was out there.

If you keep changing what you say, people will stop listening. They did at the start when politicians were making light of it. "It's not serious, don't worry" "Ok it's serious, worry" "We're all going to die!" "Never mind, we're not. Just wear a mask an don't take Advil", blah blah blah.

My point is this...if you say one thing, in a situation like this an then change it, again, an again, an again...people will be confused, not listen or just stop giving a ####. Once that happens you won't keep people inside or away from work.

Be safe, be cautious but don't live in fear.
