Thanks. Let's all keep this thread going.
i have to go to sleep soon, because, miraculously i'm still working..........but probably not for long.Mike2633 and Western flyer Thank this. -
Also, contact your local tree trimmers and see if they'll dump their chips in a pile for you too. They're probably having to pay to dump them somewhere now. These will take longer to breakdown to soil, but when it does, it is real good also. These can also be sold for mulch by the bag or pick-up load.
We have a lot of sawmills where we are, and I've toyed with the idea of buying a descent hydraulic feed chipper to chip up the mountains of slabwood that I can get for nothing. Problem is, around here not much demand for bagged mulch/chips, as it's more of a city or suburbia thing.Texas_hwy_287, Mike2633 and Sirscrapntruckalot Thank this. -

The lawn companies down here charge a crazy amount. Last time I had one, they quoted me 70 bucks. I laughed. At the time I lived 2 streets over from the beach an ocean. It wasn't a large lot, under an acre, probably closer to half of one. Not much grass but enough to need it mowed.
I spent 50 bucks for a mower on CL. Have used it for the last..8 or so years. Now that I'm on bigger piece of land, an a lot more grass...I still love saving all that money.
Anyhow the point...You can make decent money doing the lawn thing, or pressure washing, or like the fella a few posts above..leaf removal.
Find a service you can provide an run with it. You might be surprised at what folks will pay for.
Good luck, always good to have another way to make money.
