Probably get some free/cheap from those intermodal drivers that are being laid off.

This is also the traditional lull from Chinese new year. Nothing ships for around two weeks and the virus has added to the inactivity.

Several of our customers have indicated that their supplying factories are back up and running and we expected April to be right back where it should be.

Remember the ships coming now are mostly 'Post Panamax' ships that hold 25% - 50% more containers than before so there is a lot of goods coming, just a little late.

We were looking bad going into March, now, I took Monday off for my Birthday and my boss was begging me the Friday before to work, I had appointments made so I couldn't. At present, we are hopping, a lot of stuff is being put off because of a lack of ships, but a lot of other loads are filling in the gaps. We have one 700 container export booking, of the next 12 months that keeps dropping in 5 container blocks, but then rolls after 3 loads are scheduled because space on the ship fills up too soon. We've got some grain exports from Feb. that have pushed out until May, but might roll back into April. A lot of it seems to depend on where the export is going.

Fantasizes 16000 container ship arriving with 50 ventilators per box. That would solve alot of our National problems.

Few different reports are saying late April thru May could be rough for intermodal, but, it might also depend on the part of the country you are in, and if you rely more on exports or imports.
