Who has been solicited ,By an agent for landstar,for dispatching?Input please

    They created the current contract some time ago, but the contract that you received when you lease on never changes.
    Mine is from 1992 and is still the same compensation today.

    I leased on there in 2005. Paid on the old %. 67% of 98%. Left to work overseas and when I came back at the end of 2007 it had changed to straight 65%. Both were using their dry van. Wasn't a huge hit as the 67% of 98% figured out to about 65.6%. So really just went down the .6%.

    Didn't the 2% off the top cover all your insurance? So if you didn't work for a couple of weeks you didn't have to pay insurance.

    I don't remember all the details. But I would take a lot of time off and never had to pay any insurance. My physical damage and bobtail insurance was not through them.
