Well I was talking about kabooms and it doesn't matter how long I drove for. I don't worry about them burning since I don't do stupid stuff like check levels with a cell phone light or smoke. I am safe and happy to have a job that nets me a grand a week with two days off and sleeping in my own bed every night.

Driver your lack of stick time shows. It is not always what you do... I have seen trucks/ cars etc.. cross a median and strike a tanker and kill all involved. I am telling you when one of these things go it burns to the ground... listen to experience...:biggrin_2556:

The bad thing is you are already being complacent and have very little stick time. That is when something bites you big time. I have hauled high flammable stuff all over the place and I did worry about it. The day I don't is the day to do something else.

You say I am complacent? You don't know me or my work habits so now you just look silly.

Oh ok. So I am compacent because I do not drive scared all day? Maybe I am just safety minded? Maybe I am careful and know that I have nothing to worry about? I never said I know it all but you "old-timers" sure like to act like you are superior. I have news for ya. You were new once too. I bet you didn't know that complacency is normally rampant in veterans did you? That's right. The chance of attention lapses grows exponentially with time.

I am glad we have you here to let the new guys know how great you are. Good thing you rolled out of the uterus with a tire thumper and keys to a Pete.

yep we all started as newbies somewhere back in the dark ages:biggrin_25526: That being said I for one will not judge a driver based on his or her experience. I've seen newbies and experienced drivers mess up me included and it was due to overconfidence. I always try to be aware of what is going on around me to the best of my ability. be aware and drive with care. God bless all us professional drivers and one final thing, drive like your family is in the vehicle in front or along side of you

See the problem is you already know it all.... here is the problem you won't listen... this is your mind set... QUOTE: ( Maybe I am just safety minded? Maybe I am careful and know that I have nothing to worry about?)
I am careful. I pull a flat. I secure above and beyond what is required. The thing is I been out here long enough to know there is plenty to worry about. Not what I do, but what the other fool will do. Again you think I am treating you like a newbie. It is because you are spouting off with all this I do not smoke around gas, etc. Like I have tried to tell you the problem is the other guy. You call me out saying I haven't seen a 100 tankers burn to the ground. Then you say well; only the ones that go kaboom are the problem. Again spouting off like a know it all.

That is why I have tried to explain anytime, anywhere a tanker can kill you and those around you. Somebody can cause you to crash and burn, but hey your safe no problems....:biggrin_2556:

I never said I know it all. Don't you read so good? And you said HUNDREDS, not hundred. Keep your lies straight would ya.

I liked this board for the info but the real "know it alls" like you ruin it. Do you have a problem because I didn't go work for a ######## company for a year before landing a high paying local gig?

Better yet. I am done with you. Your arrogance proves that you are not worth the time to respond anymore. You are nothing to me and never will be so why should I bother talking to someone like you??

I don't give a flip what you think driver. You don't give a flip about people around you or their safety. Because you know it all driver, drive on with that tanker bomb. Hope nothing happens before you change your outlook.
