Forced dispatch is only a thing with owner operators. Every employee driver is told what to do.

Not really caring if I get dismissed. Got multiple offers everyday. I'm to old to be bullied and still to young to care. And to many bills not to fear death. It'd be another bill to pay.

    Forced dispatch isn't illegal.
All forced dispatch really means is that you don't have a choice in which loads you take. You go where they want you to go, period. You have a choice, take the run or gather up your personals and go home.
They can't run you illegally, like over HOS, and all other rules still apply but forced dispatch is a fact of life for most trucking companies that I come into contact with.

yeah that is something I always wondered about. If you are an employee, and not 1099. Then it is not "forced dispatch." It is your employer telling you to do your job. Your job is to drive their truck. They are telling you to do that job.

I have. The outlets pushing this thing have an Agenda...

How many people die each year from the flu?

Less than have already died from coronavirus in 5 months.

94,567 dead so far. 16,252 in the US.

I was seeing the flu as being 12,000.

Doesn't matter if you are technically laid off or not.
Go to your state's unemployment page and register. If you have had reduced hours and/or income reduced you will be eligible for compensation from the stimulus package, probably your state also.

My brother lives in NYC. Contracted Covid-19, showed symptoms March 25. Doctor diagnosed it, said 80-90% of people will think it is a bad cold. That was the case with my 71 year old brother. 7 days later no symptoms. Done.
I don't think it is funny, but the problem is being over stated.

They were fortunate. 800 in N.Y. state yesterday weren't as lucky.
