well again, the extra 600 from the fed gov is only for 16 weeks. It's to help people who'd normally not be in this situation stay afloat.
Does anyone know if a nonessential company can do forced dispatch?

Let’s look at it from your dispatchers point of view. He may have a load that needs to be covered and a driver that hasn’t worked in weeks. He tentatively offers a load to that driver who basically
responds, “who knows what will come up, I’ll see if I feel like it.”
That kind of puts that dispatcher in a hard spot. Dealing with drivers today is like dealing with a bunch of self absorbed toddlers. -
Over 20 years OTR experience.
With that much time behind the wheel why is this a question?
Something doesn't add up. Thankfully TTR will make 20pages.xsetra, Boardhauler, bryan21384 and 2 others Thank this. -
As for the flu virus called corona, I had it, my wife and kid had it, my kid had it worst than any of us in house. It for most is just the flu, and I'm thinking that anywhere from 2 million to 50 million people have but don't know it. This is why there is a huge disconnect with testing, we should be testing those who show no signs, not those who appear sick.bryan21384 and Rubber duck kw Thank this. -

Do what you feel is right. Run, or just up and quit, or whatever. As long as your record is good, you could always find another job later.
As for me, I just stay away from crowds, wear a mask when out, sanitize, and be prepared to bust open a can of Lysol on one of those "deprived extroverts" who act like they haven't talked to anyone in months.
Being an introvert is cool in times like this. But then there's moments where I feel like the extroverts are "out to get me". Pop an X and go to sleep if you miss being around people, jerk. -
Begs the question, shouldn't we have tested the people who appeared to be well first and not the sick?
However both my wife and kid were tested by their doc, they tested positive, one other kid in the house was also tested because he had the sniffles and he tested positive, so the docs said we all have had signs and we all had it.
Right now after 21 plus days of showing a worsening signs of the virus, my daughter was given the drug the media says didn't work, and right now she is sitting in the sun room watching tv. My wife and son are fully recovered and me, I went from coughing, feeling like crap, achy and fatigued to have allergy attacks thanks to the increase in pollen. And we are all released to return back to work.
The fact is ... outside of my daughter, and with a large number of people who have respiratory issues ... this is just the flu ... to simplify it for discussion sake, because it is just like the flu. The same symptoms for the flu appear, as my doc said, there is no such thing as exclusive corona virus symptoms as there is no such thing as flu like symptoms for the virus. It is the media who has hyped this all up which has caused too many people acting like this is so devastating that we are all going to die from it when in fact the recovery rate as recorded is twice the death rate.
Europe has dropped the ball on this, especially Italy. People want to point to our country has failed but we have one of the lowest death rates compared to them, and their population is small, where ours is 330 million and have how many deaths from this?
The common flu still killed more people this year than corona virus.Dale thompson and Rubber duck kw Thank this. -
