No. I think I'm going to take Truck 4 and just put Casper up for sale.

That being said, screw him. Make a better deal for the sake of business. As far as a trade in, why not keep Casper for a driver? Seems to be a decent truck for you even if it is getting miles on it. I'm probably the wrong guy to talk to about keeping trucks though... mine is a '92 and I berate the woman's 9900 as being too new because it's an '04. Nothing on my truck can't be rebuilt or replaced and its the one I always wanted, so why deal with getting a different one just to start all over again? I'd rather replace framerails than sit across from a salesman.

That's fine if you have $10K or so to fix whatever might break.

I don't put guys in higher mileage trucks.

That was where I was going, Was going to be my next recommendation.

If an appropriate driver comes along before the sale happens. Put them in Casper?

Used to be 6 mpg was a benchmark. Casper's generation it moved up to 7.

    Now it's almost 8.

Truck 4 is 7.8 lifetime too. Casper is 7.2

I drove for a guy with about 35 trucks. He put A LOT of money in those trucks to keep them rolling, and had the tow man on speed dial.

I swore I'd never do that.

Good philosophy. I retract the second part of my post.

Too high mileage for someone just starting out.

I put these guys in the truck for $0. Low mileage gives them time to build up a war chest for when something breaks.

That's why you own and are responsible for four trucks and I only have one... I can tell you if my mileage falls off and I check it occasionally, but doing the work I do, nobody gets good mileage, so it's kind of a moot point. I don't think in those terms. As long as it's dependable and I'm happy driving it, I'll keep it. My point is, you have to look at the bigger picture. I should look at it too, but I don't. I also have much less to lose than you because of that.
