    There's a lot that goes into presentation and timing when making a big purchase.

    Casper was a steal because obaba had the economy in the toilet and no one was buying anything.

    Truck 4 was a steal cause they knocked $18K off it cause they gotta turn em to get their new ones.

    TIMING

    My Camaro I bought just before Casper for $36.4

    They had an add of that price, offering $2K trade in on any vehicle.

    Well our Buick I had, had it with. I pulled on the lot with steam pouring out the vents in the dash cause the heater core just blew.

    I had the signed title and $8 large in 100's in an envelope.

    I told the sales manager, "You guys said $2K for any trade."

    He's like,"I'll lose my job if I give you $2K for that." Pointing at the Buick.

    I put the keys, the title, and the envelope in his hand and said,"So we have a deal then?"

    He's like,"Now hold on just a minute. We do the hard selling around here." Then we shook hands.

    Years ago (early '70's) there were some around town that would pay my buddy and I $2.00 for every live 'possum we could catch for them.

    We'd go down to the railroad tracks at night with a light and shine 'em (eyes glow) in between the rails. It was a simple matter to then run 'em down and put 'em in a feed sack. You see, the little varmints weren't smart enough to climb back over the rail and disappear back into the woods or swamp. They would just keep running down the center of the track until we overtook 'em.

    I'd ask them fellas, why do want them 'possums. We put 'em in a pen and fatten 'em up. They taste just like a hog. No thanks, I think I'll pass on it....
