Just found out today that the washbay at DSM will only be open Friday, Saturday and Sundays. Rock on. Makes going thru the terminal easier.

Also heard, not for sure on this, but only have to get trucks washed twice a month now. Haven't recieved anything from TMC on this, just spoke with another driver dedicated out of Lowe's and he went thru terminal today and this was what he was told.

Kinda sucks for the guys that probly got laid off tho. I'm sure that if you take truck in for service would still have to run thru appearence and all that.

Are you not seeing the writing on the wall? If you aren't, search TMC Transportation on Iowa Courts on line and see just how many loans are being defaulted on, including one for 3.6 million dollars with CBI equipment.

I did your little search. those cases are all OLD and CLOSED except the one that you specifically mention. anybody can sue anybody for any reason. i guess that's why most are dismissed, or small claims

My little search is a fact. If you look at the case filings, the company that was wronged put down a 3.6 million dollar bond in order to reposess their property prior to the case being heard. Ask around if 50 trucks were taken off the yard with the sherrif police on site, you will hear a lie, like they were sold, but the sherrif doesn't show up to watch trucks being sold, I saw it with my own eyes, I am trying to help you all see what is going on, but some people have blind loyality.

Well, I guess it's official, they are having financial woes. If they cut back truck washes even an iota that is the most significant sign there can be with TMC.

I found three current cases, two from CBI and one from M&I Equipment Finance Company. I'm not registered so I couldn't see any of the details. Could be nothing though, they have had a lot of cases against them dismissed. I wouldn't necessarily put much into it unless someone can provide a link with some kind of verifiable information, particularly with something that is this significant. I'm not calling you a liar Bob, I'm just saying if you could post a link it would clear the air a lot.

You can see the info by clicking on filings, the reason for worry is that though other things are dismissed, they weren't from finance companies.

I believe you. Over the years i've heard alot from people who have came to repair my truck, shops that i've taken the truck to about TMC's reputation for not paying their bills.

It always bothered me that they'd say stuff to me about it, like it was my problem, listen it's between you and TMC i have nothing to do with it, y'know?

the biggest problem I have with this company is their attitude that you should pay them to do business with them, not the other way around.

I still get idiots that come up to me at truck stops and say oh my buddy told me TMC filed for bankrupcy! I started telling them yup, I was supposed to turn the truck in last summer but I stole it and they 'aint caught me yet.

as long as new recruits are lasting I consider myself a TMC vet... umm I will try to stick it out long enough to get my 2 weeks vacation, then pending a miracle, I am GONE. so much has changed in a year and a half it makes me seriously concerned for the future.

I agree. I wanted to go back to TMC, but changed my mind. At one point in time i wouldn't drive for anyone but TMC, they did alot for the drivers when i was there.. and to be perfectly frank, we were spoiled.. But too much has changed.

Since when is it a good idea to deliberately downgrade yourself to your competition? I don't get it. Every change they make they are always pointing out how their competitors are doing it, and have been doing it for years.. So what? If they jumped off a bridge, would you do it too? The very reason TMC was attractived as an employer, like i said before, was because they were different from the competition. Have you seen the people they've been hiring lately?????? Oh, lawd. And they wonder why they lost Boeing after they aqcuired yellowstone... =(
