I hate the snow, its pretty the first snow of the season and then it gets old real quick!!

Driving a big rig thru it would be different... no denying it.
I won't forget taking the motorhome thru a big snow/ice storm... it sucked! -
That was a pic going over the sisques, light layer of ice under the snow three accidents happened while we were going down it. even a big truck that was in front of us with a rookie driver almost jack knife in front of us driving a Semi is a lot different than a motor home. kind of hard to have a bad jack knife in a motor home. They shut I5 down just as we reached the bottom keep in mind this is a 6% grade we are going down with out chains. and i myself have seen a lot worse try driving a 2 lane in ice and blowing snow and trying hard to keep the windshield from icing up.

Something about assuming is relevant here as well.mama mia and ChipperDawg Thank this. -
A couple years ago I towed a boat through a February Storm, took me 9.5 hours to get from Auburn, CA to Reno, NV on I-80. They shut down 80 in both directions several times, spent 3 hours just below Nyack waiting for them to reopen the road. Slid into a snowbank on the hill right after the hwy 20 split with 6500lbs behind me, not to make excuses but I was driving a 2WD Van with no ABS. Got pulled out, switched into a pickup with 4WD and a smaller boat. I'll tell you what, a three-lane highway that looks like a skinny country road is probably not the best place to be. Going down Donner Summit was sure a hoot, it was so icy that the trailer was sliding back and forth with the curves in the road =)
ChipperDawg Thanks this. -
Having experience is great but the minute i think i know everything is the very minute i quit driving. That is when i will become a danger to myself and the motoring public and i don't think i could live with myself if my ego got someone killed
ChipperDawg Thanks this.
