Thats horrible! How do you stay there? How would anyone? I just figured out my pay working those 14 hours. I would have grossed $410.38. Yes I am a company driver. That sounds like a nightmare. That sounds so wrong to me. How do you do it? How does anyone do it? Bad company if you ask me.

There are very few of your type of companies that are in some areas. Most are not hiring and in fact are laying off people.

Comments can be made about that as well.

Until there is more of them, you will have these others to contend with. Rule of free market.

We will always have junk OTR companies to contend with long after I am dead. It will never stop. Drivers will see to it in their own special way. They are their own worst enemy.

Funny, i run a paperless log that you cannot cheat, and still do between 3000-3800 miles a week. Why would you log over 9 hours on line 4 for loading or unloading, law only ask for 15 mins for loading, 15 mins for unloading on line 4, rest can be on line 1, ask a D.O.T. man.

In order to comply with DOT REGS, all time will be logged 100% legal. Someone help me with the actual definition of "on duty, not driving" please. I'm on my cell phone and I cant cut and paste.
I'm not only trying to be 100% compliant, but I also want to prove a point. That is drivers can not run 100% legal and make a satisfactory wage. Cheating on line 4 would defeat both purposes. After 15 years, I already know how to cheat. Hell, I could probably teach a class on how to cheat!

When a dispatcher assigns a load that requires a driver to run illegal to meet the appointment time, it should be the dispatcher's ### on the line -- not the driver's! :biggrin_25510:

See there you go using the "C" word we all know it's making a living and actually I don't cheat. I make my logs so DOT doesn't have a problem with them. Since DOT is federal you can draw your own conclusions. :biggrin_25523:
