Back in Dec everyone is celebrating having a good time. A few were on here bragging about the money they are making.

Now 4 months later there is no work. And it's getting less by the week.

Hauling for a loss is always a catastrophe, and i never said anyone should ever do that. I have parked it and switched to workin the quarry. What i was saying is the people we serve, shippers and receivers, feed their family off the junk we haul. So if no one hauls it they need a handout too. Its essential if they are to pay their mortgages.

 

Those of us hauling direct with contract rates have noticed zero difference in the rates. And we’ve been busy since all this started because people started hoarding canned goods so our salt loads increased.

Some of us choose to not let fear and propaganda dictate our lives.

Are they one way rates and coming back empty or round trip. I know your in the Central NY area running Short haul into NJ , NY and New England. We average $1470 for 280 miles , more on similar runs, but that’s one way, and we come back empty so the miles are actually double but still ok.

The big problem is the illegal third worlders
That trucking is flooded with . They multiply every year and will work for dirt , since dirt is more than they made where they came from .
Nobody keeps track of them and they’re a plague on trucking to legal US citizens trying to do it right. Almost all aspects of trucking are effected by this. Many run junk equipment, pop up under different names every few years , the 1099 BS scam and run rampant .
We’re slow, with all the schools , many restaurants, stores , construction etc shutdown
We’re off about 60% , and have a few trucks parked right now. So are the illegal third worlders , and they run around with their junk equipment trying to lowball
Any work they can get and every year it gets
worse , and this has to end.
As you can see they’re is no driver shortage.
They’re is a driver shortage for people who want to work for peanuts that these conditions create. This is something the government has to stop also, But
Will they , businesses love cheap labor, whether its trucking, construction, landscaping, the restaurant industry etc, and the third worlders are the reason for suppressed wages and rates. They say “they do

China has been bleeding our country’s wealth and stealing our technology and industry and how dangerously we are dependent on them ( and them on us , even though they consider us an enemy ) . I hope our country opens its eyes to the danger of
Our country being swarmed by illegal aliens , and how it does hurt this country . The way many politicians pander to them in areas swarmed by them like California and New York to get their vote and how they drain the social welfare programs already over burdened.
