This also depends on if the green light turned on. But yes if its open, doesnt hurt to drive thru and get flagged on.
TURKER Thanks this. -
in some states, if your bobtailing you don't have to roll over the scale, but can around it and stop so they can get your numbers and then go on
-
It's different from state to state. In my opinion, there is no reason to go through "just because".
-
A truck is a truck even if it's not pulling a trailer. Read the signs before the scale and follow them. It's nice for truck drivers to have a theory of why they don't need to enter the scales. Their theory may feel very convincing. The judge isn't likely to ignore the law and go with a truck driver theory.
Nobody gets a ticket for entering the scale in error. Drive like the cops and the boss are watching and make your decisions accordingly.Big Duker Thanks this. -
Agreed. If it says ALL COMMERCIAL vehicles must pull in, well guess what kids, pass by without a green light and risk a nice set of bracelets.
-
Wonder if those bracelets come in platinum?
-
Well, the only theory that I work on is if the scales say bob tails dont have to enter, I dont if I'm bob tailing.
-
I have a better theory...
If PREPASS is red, I enter the scales...
Any other indication... HAMMER DOWN!
