will you be running otr, regional or what? best of luck in whatever you've decided. at this point I'm so far behind that I think I'm in front trying to get going. I am looking at spring since I'm financially behind where I thought I would be. Let us all know how things develop for you especially in the paperwork area which is what I'm really interested in. Authority, etc.
    Thanks!

I'm about in the same time-frame as you Pawnd. Just waiting for plate, tag and IFTA stickers. I'm going to be doing reefer outhauls and whatever backhauls. Hooking up with a local broker that I've done business with in the past. What's your game plan?

Not waiting any more, everything is in and ready. 6 weeks to get a tag??? Had the authority in 10 or 11 days. Then wait another month for tags, which I needed to run NY and KY or pay trip permits and have the check me I'm new DOT target in the window.

Should be on the road mid week, contracts are all signed. Trucks loaded, just need perishables and clothes. Had to trash the upper mattress, never been used but had so much smoke in it that you could smell it outside from about 50 feet away. Tore the cover off and the stains were all the way through.

Got a great deal on an 8" memory foam for the lower only $139.00. Getting a mattress in this truck was a trick.

Sounds like PA to MS to MI to IL to PA . Like all things trucking subject to change.

    The new one in.

The old one was 4" thick and the new is 8" and much heavier.

IMHO Seats and mattresses are the most important things on a truck. Comfortable ride and good sleep are huge factors in getting the job done well.

I don't see how you could have gotten your authority in 10 or 11 days. I applied end of August and it was just granted today. There were no delays due to BOC-3, insurance or anything of the sort. I got my numbers the day I applied but DOT and MC numbers aren't authority. I'm not telling you anything you probably already know.

I got my IFTA stickers today, should have plate and permit no later than Wednesday.

Good luck to ya bro..... keep us posted as to how you're doing!:biggrin_255:
