Stand up, you don't have to be afraid
Get down, love is like a hurricane

I love it loud, I wanna hear it loud, right between the eyes
Loud, I wanna hear it loud, I don't want to compromise

Turn it up, hungry for the medicine
Two fisted to the very end
No more treated like aliens, we're not gonna take it 'cos

I love it loud, I wanna hear it loud, right between the eyes
Loud, I wanna hear it loud, I don't want to compromise

Headlines jungle is the only rule
Front page roar of the nation cool
Turn it up, this is my attitude, take it or leave it yeah

Loud, I wanna hear it loud, right between the eyes
Loud, I wanna hear it loud, don't want to compromise
Loud, I wanna hear it loud, right between the eyes
Loud, I wanna hear it loud, don't want to compromise

Amps don't make you loud, they make your signal go out further.

I believe the reason truck drivers run amps is because they run crappy antennas that don't get out worth a darn so they use amps to compensate.

I run the best antenna on my pick up in the best location and a barefoot radio and have gotten out 14 miles on a really good day, 7-10 average.

Most truckers with crappy antennas might get out that far with an amp.

Also because most truckers don't know the true workings of a CB radio, or linears....again my belief.

A lot of truth to what you said ....

The problem is not local ... the ptoblem is 2,000 miles away ...
Now that 10.000 watt amp is +60 on every "S" meter and no one can talk .

    AND

Mr 10.000 watt can't hear any of the stations he is distroying .....

There is nothing more fun than to be going by a big truck stop, hear all the crap and the mine is bigger than yours, and hit them with a 1,000 Bird watt D/K. The silence is priceless after I un-key. Now I am using an export converted radio, Galaxy 98VHP the radio does 240 pep by it's self so most of the time I only put the fire in the wire when D/X is rolling. ( a lot of fire ) Which is something I love to work. Some of you might have heard me out there, I go by 510 or Killroy in New Orleans, ( or were ever I am at the time ) normally on 28, 38LSB or 26,915.

Now before you high an mighty Hams start your crying, and some of you make me sick. I Have my ticket. This is for me a hobby and I enjoy both sides of it. I have my Ham rig in the truck as well, and work stations all over the world & as a trucker I have found and use different repeaters all over the Country. Now that is fun.

Now to my fellow Ham operators, give it a rest already. I have NEVER had a "CB" radio bother me when on the ham bands, Heck they can't even get anywhere near where we are, so why act like spoiled little kids. Because that is how some of you sound. Geez some of the crap on the ham bands make me look to make sure I'm not on ch. 19.

Think about this, it was CB that got me interested in ham in the first place. But I guess I was lucky, I ran across Hams with the same attitude I have, and they took the time to teach me instead of having the Holier than thou attitude that most of you seam to have.

Where is the "Skill" in "purchaseing" specific equiptment?
People buy what they want to serve the purpose they want.

Luck? :biggrin_2559: where does Luck play into anything?
