Yeah...ELD and Loadboards too. Mine are $450 per week. I could only defer trailer payments for 90 days. Insurance... maybe but only when the truck is committed to being parked cold.

The $200 consist of cell phone(s) bill, loadboard, and a couple misc. subscriptions I have. With money on hand, other assistance I've been able to garner, I am fortunately suited to hold out for awhile.
I'll say it again, this is like a game of musical chairs, the music is speeding up and the chairs are disappearing
The goal is to stay in the game as long as I can. I went through this in 2008 as a builder. So fortunately, I prepared a little better this go around as a 1 man trucking dog & pony show.Dale thompson and 86scotty Thank this. -
I went to visit the House on the Rock in Wisconsin last Summer. What a fantastic place!
The music was playing...very wicked music...
I think that during my visit there, I was able to see this phenomenon we have now...somehow.Scooter Jones Thanks this. -

I shall haul freight ... I am booked until Thursday. I am afraid the freight to be hauled by me is cheap. I will haul it. I will see how it works out. I will take time and use US 30 all the way to PA and the same way back...I will then go West and end up in Colorado. I like Colorado...bunch of farms in prisons on I-70...with the right music on, empty roads, you can get yourself into this tranquilized mood for hours. I miss it...I miss it.

I'm having road withdraw. Sitting at home looking for things that need to be done is boring. I think I've watched everything on the internet. Even my favorite old classic movies don't look appealing any more. My wife is gone for a week visiting her mother, so at least I don't have to feel guilty for sitting around while she looks at me and rolls her eyes. At least my dogs appreciate the company.

You and me both Steve. I have this thing where I just can't get motivated on rainy/cloudy days. That's all we've got lately. As soon as the sun shines I'm gonna build a shelf for my toaster oven in truck, add some LED back up lights, pressure wash the house, paint the house, redeck the deck, walk the dog, take a bath, maybe eat. Soon......

It's inevitable, what goes up, must come down.
One day you're flying high, your plans are coming to fruition. Confidence soaring like an eagle, your family, friends and counterparts praise you as such a uncanny businessman with an incredible knack for success. Then out of nowhere you get sucker punched right in the face! Down on the canvas you go. The ring judge starts the countdown.
Some get up and some never do. Reality is that we'll all evidentially succumb to the ultimate sucker punch, which is DEATH itself. I don't care if you're a successful 1 man operation or a multi-billionaire like Jeff Bezos, the sting of death will ultimately lay us all low.
Sooner or later, God's gonna cut you down!
