I thought for sure the Broncos were going to lose. I was so happy when we got that touchdown at the end. I'm sorry for your loss, but not really 'cause it means we won! :biggrin_25522:

I take a trailer home with me. I think you have to have a secure place to park it otherwise they'll have you leave it at a terminal or drop yard.

From what I can tell miles are figured zip code to zip code. So they can be as much as 50 miles short at times. That is just the price you pay nothing can be done about that. I know 1bad went from Atl (home) to Miami one time and the actual miles was about 60 short of what the odometer read. Nothing you can do they pay what they pay and that is it.
As far as going home I believe if you live more than 25 miles from a terminal or drop yard you have to drop your truck and trailor. We have never ran into that because we live about 20 min. from conley but only about 10 from the Kraft warehouse in Norcross where he usually ends his run at when coming for home time.

Home time is usually 1 day for every week you are out not to exceed 4 days unless you are on a scheduled vacation.
Hope this info helps and if I'm wrong on anything please correct me I am only going by what 1bad has dealt with in the past 8 months with Central.

I don't know what the criteria is. My house is on a 1/2 acre fenced lot. Don't know if someone else here can add to this.

Just run the church idea by your DM and you may have to turn in written permission from them to get it cleared. 1bad parks at a Lowe's a couple blocks away b/c rigs are not allowed here. He got the manager to fax something to his dm saying it was ok for him to park there and we have not had any issues doing just that.

OK, that makes no sense. If you live that close it is easy for you to be able to get a ride if you absolutely had to. Conley is the closest terminal for us as well, and yet there is no way I am going to make someone in our family drive from northern Alabama all the way to the other side of Atlanta to get us so we can come home for a few days. I would think it would make more sense to have the people who live closer have to drop the truck and trailer, and those of us that live in the middle of nowhere and have a place to park it, allow us to actually drive it home.

After reading every page here, I'm thinking I'm ok with driving the truck home. But I'm curious what some of you think. I live in Martinsburg, WV...only about 3 miles from I81 and about 12 miles from I70 (maryland). I don't know if I'm close to any terminals out there. Do you think I can bring the truck home? Does CRS come thru this area much? I have secure parking, so thats not an issue.
