It's unlikely to make a dent. Most truckers are forgoing the CB for cellphones anyway, not switching to a different radio type.

I'll bet you a Ben Franklin that if a couple of Drivers put stickers on the side of their cabs that say, "I Monitor GMRS Channel 7", that will spark an interest and get more Drivers on GMRS...

After you buy the gear, get a bumper style sticker for the side of the truck that says, "I Monitor GMRS Channel 7". I bet over time you start to hear more Drivers on the radio.. It might take a couple of years, but once it takes off, everyone will want one..

The size of a regular bumper sticker, nothing to big and ugly, maybe place it on the lower part of your sleeper near the drivers door....

It's only a problem for folks incapable of or unwilling to do their own antenna work. Those who are capable don't really have difficulties. Last I checked, 74 miles mobile to mobile in a Freightliner Cascadia @27mhz is fairly effective.
    Rest in peace Tom.....

I been playing with radio for almost 40 years, and I thought I'd heard it all until now. With 74 miles of range over average terrain from a CB, I can't understand why Public Safety agencies spend so much money on the VHF/UHF junk.. Wow, they need to talk with your CB Tech, and start saving the tax payer some money... :)

Considering most drivers can’t read the 12” lettering in construction areas, make it 24”.
