You still don’t have a clue.It doesn’t matter an old mc# has no value for you to say it saves on insurance is a lie .Fast lesson your dot number will not transfer the new owner has to get his own dot number that dot number is inactive until he purchases liability insurance to make it active all insurance companies know your activating a new number you are a new entrant at that time.The same is true for all brokers they see when you’re dot number was activated.Like I said there way more risk then rewards.someone on here said you can work with any brokers you don’t know that how many brokers have black listed that mc# and won’t load it or any contracts like factoring company that have power of attorney with that mc with brokers.If mc# had value for example if you want to buy a used truck you can google used trucks for sale and site after site will come up because they have value there worth money.Just the past 10 years there have been thousands of mc# been let go for many different reasons why are all these guys not on any web sites selling there old MC Number .Because they have no value.
