    Read into that.

Very likely not a shortage yet, but a sharp increase upward in futures causing supplies to skyrocket.
Raise the price of a Single 20c, most people won't flinch.
Raise a Double 50c, or a Triple 79c, they go elsewhere.

Keep the menu simple and weather the storm.
People are already conditioned to accept disruption.

Must be a Fake news CNN burger joint you went to. No shortage of burgers and beef anywhere here on the east coast. I eat alot of meat too. No signs hear or any hint of it on the news. Go to the burger joint outside of a truck stop is the only advice i can give you driver

This is the first time I have seen it too. Had a real nice burger 3 days ago at the Flying J in Ellensburg, WA.

Yes, 40 slaughter houses closing out of nearly 3000 licensed slaughterhouses in the US is going to cripple the meat supply. :p

i very rarely go to any burger place. now, if the wife and i have our grandkids, then all bets are off on that.

but i can go to a smaller market near me, and they have meats. people going there are not buying all sorts of meats to stock up on. from what i see, it is normal buying. i mean after all, wouldn't you need a large freezer? or an extra fridge?

we only have the one refrigerator that has a freezer, the standard home appliance.

there is only so much you can stock up on, there is only so much you can eat.

if the burger places want to conserve what they have, then by all means offer only a normal one patty burger.

i cannot say about the french fries, we buy frozen fries, and only use what we need, not the entire bag.

but i am still able to buy red, brown, sweet potatoes at many of the store we frequent.
