So you have a felony keeping you back...i have a clean driving and criminal record...so i can go anywhere i want...but...this is what you have to understand...and also...what you'll have to do...first...understand that Allstate deals with major companies...your not going to see companies just starting out...recruiting at Allstate...basicly...big well known companies...they have contracts...so...Bridget...the career service lady...she basicly only knows how deals with the school...which is big companies...so what you should do...is realized your felony ###### you over...grab a news paper...call every job asking for a CDL class A driver...explain your situation...and hopefully you'll get lucky...while your doing that...get online and search for smaller mom and pop companies...that won't have the lastest peterbilt of kenworth on the road...and get a start there...even if you have to get some class B stuff until your felony is years behind...do that...yard jockey...anything to just get paid driving until your felony gets years behind...but once you get into a company and prove you can drive...companies that rejected you before will open they doors to you...

Oh...and also...sometimes you have to help yourself before others can help you...so during your 6 months there...you should of been calling companies to figure out who would accept someone in your situation...can't depend on her...i got pre hires from companies that the school doesn't deal with...so if i relied on her...i'll be going to swift or werner...but i'm not...i wanna go in my own direction...

Hey guys, Iwent to All State some 14 yrs ago. I have to agree it is a racket. I did it a little different, I went there trough a company. 4 week course. I had a great instructor. He is no longer there though. I am going to talk to them about a refresher course though. They are, I THINK PTDI CERTIFIED. Their is a Sage school Philly area if anyone needs an option. I am looking into 2 or 3 of them. I started blog titled "Refresher couse where?" When I get imfo, I will post all imformation I get.
Good luck guys! -
looks like i'm not the only one who has complaints about all state. i am in the baltimore class and all i can say is they seem to have a no dummy left behind policy. the class room is a joke! the instructor gives out the answers the all the test and some guys still miss 20 out of 100 questions. it still is an ok school for oppertunities it gets you. it is a p.d.t.i certified school. i just thought i would be in class with other people with some goals and some drive to do the right thing.

I drove a truck from lester to the baltimore campus about 2 weeks ago...i graduate in two weeks...but my overall opinion about the school is that it's way too long...you don't need 2 weeks on every course to get it...i normally pick up everything on the second or at the latest...the third day...and that's because I know i'm suck there for 2 weeks...so i don't try to get everything really on the first day...but the 6 months gave me enough time to get things in order...do alot of job reasearch...save money up for the road...sell things i won't need...buy things i will need...and most importantly...get my mind focused...

Well, a year after graduation, and 250+ trucking companies NOT hiring me, I wrote the school a letter, basically saying thank you for burying me in debt and lying to me about the entire process. Do not EVER. EVER. Go to All-State Career School

I thought I would bring this back to the top. I start my class in Baltimore on the 21st...and am pretty excited.
