Thank you Chipper & Bootlegger for both of your accounts of your first days there at Central. I really look forward to your and anyone else's posts about your experiences with the coming days. I'd like to know what I could expect on my starting day (Oct 4th). I could imagine there would be a plethora of people in the first class that arrive with no idea or expecting there to be any sort of physical, work test, or secondary applications, only to be sent home for not being prepared. I'm thankful to have the resources for being able to work out when I'd like to, which I've been doing the past couple of months, and studying, all in moderation. What have you guys seen people sent home today for?

Well, hmm. When you first get in... you are introduced to some central folks... and given a stack of papers to fill out. Then you are pretty much on your own until lunch. But in that time frame you have a lot to do. When you can go... you do your drug test. When the Dr. calls you in you do the physical. When the physical therapists call you, you do the Work-Well. And when the security dudes call you - you do the security interview (which is a last minute opportunity to disclose anything that could be in your background check). You also have to have somebody go thru your paperwork and copy DL and SSCard. Then you have to pay your "Registration Fee" of $100. After noonish or so, you get an hour for lunch... and then you start class. Can't really say what he will teach you about... he likes to mix it up a bit. We learned about log books.

Most people were sent home because a)they couldn't pass the work-well. or b) they lied on the security interview. It might take until thursday to get back all the background checks... so more people will probably be going home. Most people do know that there is going to be a physical and a security interview. Seems like a lot of people lie on their security interview... they make a big deal not too.

Everything is pretty clear and simple. Just follow their instructions. They have everything organized fairly well.

Our class was so large that the Dr. had to come back and do physicals after the class session. So while most everybody got their physical in the morning... some of us had to wait until about 7ish to get theres done.

I am feeling a little better this morning about everything... we'll see how it goes today.:biggrin_25523:

Yeah, I heard the security interview was a big deal there. I'm glad I at least don't have anything to worry about as far as that, lol. So do you have any pointers for passing the work well test? Was it all pretty strenuous..? Good luck today, I hope everything goes well! :biggrin_25525:

No offense ssccrab but at 22 nothing should be strenuous to you dear! you should have the stamina of a work mule able to push/pull or lift everything. Just think of it as a keg of your favorite beer getting warm fast and you will be fine..........lololololol :biggrin_25525:

    ssccrab Thanks this.

Ya know, I generally try to keep an upbeat attitude but ####!!!! I am so glad that this is my load going home. I need a break from the jack #####'s i work for in the worst way. Hopefully, after 4 days off, my attitude will improve and so will the miles.

Haha! Great way to put it! And none taken :biggrin_25525: . Yeah, you're right. I've never been the physical type really.. Never played sports in school or did much exercising, but I'm in great shape and I've been working out a lot with a home gym my friend has. I can tell a big difference from before I started working out. I'm confident that I'll pass it.
