How much does it cost a company to recruit, hire, orient, and place a driver? Can anyone fathom a guess? I will assume companies can write off this expense.

I am sure they get to write off 2-3X's the actual cost, they probably highly inflate their cost.

I will be attending All State, and there tuition is $5235.00. This does include everything, from the permit to the mandatory uniforms for class.
I could only imagine what a company might charge! -
Sounds like you are about to get reamed a new one.
I paid a wad for my own trucking school back in the day. It was around what you're paying. This didn't include room and board or meals, either. Then there was the income I lost because I was sitting in a classroom and not working. Today, if I were a newbie, I'd pay at most 500.00 to learn how to drive a truck, and it'd better be over and done with in at MOST two weeks. -

It's obvious the turnover "revolving door" at companies is nothing but a way they milk the government.
It's what I suspected all along while I was driving--the companies WANT turnover, especially the big boys. The higher their turnover, the better for them. Is it any surprise you get bad treatment from the huge-antics? There's a lot of money to be made at those outfits through turnover alone. All they have to do is piss you off and make you quit. -
than $500 to learn.... you learn more when your on your own anyways... -

Red, I hope that's what the new speaker of the house says when she reads my upcoming letter.
