I wasn’t taking any swings at you, it was nothing more than a statement saying I would’ve never done that load at that rate. Relief load or not.
You can post screen shots of what a load board says the average is to justify your decisions if you like. Doesn’t mean that that is what I or anyone else would run that lane for. I’m not the least bit interested in being average.

"Two women were arrested in Laredo, Texas, after they were caught running a beauty salon inside their homes. The women were arrested during an undercover sting operation by the Laredo Police Department.
Officers from the Laredo Police Department were informed of the activities through an anonymous tip sent to the Laredo Police Department mobile app on April 15. The tipster informed police that the women were advertising salon services on social media.
Police went on an undercover sting operation and arrested the women for offering beauty services from home. The cops were part of the COVID-19 task force enforcement detail.
Laredo police arrested Ana Isabel Castro-Garcia, 31, after she allegedly agreed to provide an undercover officer with a manicure. She was charged with "Violation of Emergency Management Plan C/B," according to KGNS-TV, an NBC affiliate in Laredo. Castro-Garcia was taken to the Webb County Jail for booking, where she was held on a $500 bond.
Brenda Stephany Mata, 20, was arrested after she reportedly agreed to perform eyelash service inside her home for an undercover cop. She was also charged with "Violation of Emergency Management Plan C/B" and was also taken to Webb County Jail and held on a $500 bond.
"Both of the violators independently solicited customers via social media. On both cases, an undercover officer working on the COVID-19 task force enforcement detail made contact with each solicitor to set up an appointment for a cosmetic, beauty service that is prohibited under the emergency ordinance," Laredo police said in a statement.
Authorities said that offering salon services, even at the person's home, is a violation of the stay-at-home orders instituted during the coronavirus pandemic."FoolsErrand Thanks this. -

SAN ANTONIO — City Council unanimously passed a resolution that denounces the use of terms like 'Chinese virus' and 'Kung ## Virus' as San Antonio continues to fight against the spread of COVID-19.
The resolution condemns any hate speech, violent action and the "spread of misinformation related to COVID-19."
In a letter to council members, Mayor Ron Nirenberg says the city must take a stand against COVID-19 hate speech.
"This coronavirus has held no regard for race, religion, creed, or political boundary. As such, our efforts must meet the indiscriminate nature of COVID-19 with empathy and compassion for all our neighbors," writes Nirenberg. "I ask that you consider adopting the attached resolution - which declares that our COVID-19 response efforts will be free of hate and discrimination - at the next Council A-Session."
Nirenberg's letter adds that terms like 'Chinese virus' and 'Kung ## Virus' only encourage hate crimes and incidents against Asian communities; and that the Jewish community has also been targeted with blame and conspiracy theories regarding coronavirus.
All council members voted in favor of the resolution, 11 to 0.

Another $1500 week for me. First, gotta say there's a lot of opinion here on how/when certain people want or need to run. I'm not going to put in my specifics except to say that I got my $2 per mile and I can make a great living WHERE I LIVE on that kind of money in normal times (*in NORMAL times). I ran a total of about 750 miles for that $1500 and it was honestly my best average in weeks. 4 short runs for small brokerages and friends and would be a lot better average cpm if not for deadhead, like double.
It's getting bleak in my neighborhood (see avatar on left) I'm not moving more than a couple hundred miles from the house for fear of getting stuck.
I am with Talljoe on a couple of things. First, I get bored. I sat for weeks and now have settled into a pattern of finding a handful of short runs that pay ok just to get out of the house and drive the truck. Wife and kids home, losing motivation on home improvement. It all cost money I'm not making and I like my solitude in the truck.
Second, I HAVE a truck and trailer. Running for lousy rates is still better than any job near me, and I'm equipped for it. Don't confuse this with appeasing lousy 3pl's with .80 cpm rates.
Third, as bad as it is if I put together a halfway decent run and needed to pay for fuel to make the last let home I would run whatever I could right now rather than deadheading home. It saves money and that is a basic principle of business.
There are a lot of you who have been at this a LONG time. You might have the pride, expertise and patience to completely sit this out. That might take months. Good for you, I'd like to be one of you someday.
There are a lot of you who are brand new and have bills and are in panic mode. Good luck, I hope you make it. I do think poor choices led you here and you have no choice but to enable broker price gouging.
Myself, as a 2 year O/O, and I think I'm in about the same boat as Joe and a few other regulars here. I can weather the storm for several more months but every day of doing nothing is worse for the bank account than doing something. To put him in the same league as the Amazon runners and cheap ***es out here who's long term business model is running for peanuts is doing him a disservice.
