Business people are resilient. They’ll bounce back quick. 100,000 really isn’t all that many when you think about it. Hell 25,000 of those are probably owner ops.
I’m not subscribing or buying into the doom and gloom with the economy. It’s the same as the media trying to blow corona up into the world is ending. Now they want you to think the economy is ending.

Like I said earlier, 100k loss estimate is on the low side. Where one business is gone for good, if the service is in demand, another one will start up, at some point, to replace it....mp4694330, kemosabi49, PPLC and 1 other person Thank this. -

If you look at each individual town or company that may not seem like a lot,but look at the whole industry and everything that goes to support it, then that’s a huge chunk of money taken out of the economy.Midwest Trucker and PPLC Thank this. -
Personally I'd love to see the heard get trimmed by 400 or 500 or more trucks.
I'm quite certain it wouldn't be just the bubble gum and baling wire group either. So many people can't manage their money.
Now the same one's that get floated by LS or someone else will pull even cheaper garbage to try and pay their bills and debt, until they finally go belly up.Dale thompson, Midwest Trucker, SteveScott and 1 other person Thank this. -

It is unfortunate for all the kids that count on mom and dad to bring home a check. Whether with a truck or a bus or cab or waitress gig.tommymonza, Dave_in_AZ and PPLC Thank this. -

88,300 drivers laid off. The horror!!!!!!!
I have an open truck.
Guess they're not REALLY THAT laid off huh.Dale thompson, kemosabi49 and Midwest Trucker Thank this. -
It’s harder to get drivers right now then it was when things were booming. I think that says a lot. Thankfully the 7 that I have are all top notch and not going anywhere. They’ve actually made more money through this mess because of the more dead head.Dale thompson, longhaultransport, FoolsErrand and 2 others Thank this.
