When I worked for Hogan they had those cameras. Had to make sure you came to a full stop at every stop sign and don't stop too far back from the sign or it won't register as you stopping at the stop sign. The worst was the following distance. You had to leave a large enough gap to the car ahead and of course in heavy traffic any gap you try to make gets filled by another car, so you slow down more and here comes another car jumping in front of you.
I had an incident where a truck merging onto the highway swerved in front of me, I had to hit the brakes and quickly change lanes which of course set off the camera. I got the message from safety, had to call in for "coaching". I asked why I needed coaching and I was told I was involved in a "near miss". Umm yeah, I took evasive action to avoid a crash, surely they would rather I had a near miss than a crash?. The safety bod agreed that I did well to avoid the collision, nothing I could have done differently or better, but they still had to speak to me as the event was registered as a near miss.
So glad when that job ended.

Unbelievable...
so you all know that we moved from FL to SC... because of that my wife quit her job and is looking for employment in SC... so, loss of benefits being a Qualifying Event for a Mid Year Election, I applied for benefits here at Abilene.
I have the form provided by her former employer documenting that we indeed had health coverage, who was covered, and what through what date we were covered. That form has been provided to RVA and I have requested to be placed on our benefits package here at Abilene.
So having not been approved yet, I get an email a while back from the VP who is over HR/Benefits...
“Only item left would be a letter from the employer... We are attempting to find out if it was a voluntary resignation or a termination”
I'm like WHAT???
I replied: How does that make any difference? Why would they give you that info and they would be facing lawsuits if they did. Blah blah blah
I waited and never got a reply... emailed a follow up that I hadn’t gotten a response yet and was wanting to know if I was able to sign up yet.
reply from an employee in the benefits department was “We just need something from her former employer stating the date of termination please.”
big HUGE difference between date of termination and if she was fired or quit.
and the form I provided clearly states date the benefits were terminated... not sure why yet another piece of paper is required as it’s the loss of benefits from the former coverage which is the qualifying event for a Mid Year Election.
