Well today has been productive thus far... Tore apart the washing machine and organized some of the stuff in the back room.

The back room is a combination of my daughter's bedroom and storage. My wife moved our daughter into there when I was on the road so I had no idea where most of my tools were. I got irritated with not being able to find what I needed to work on the washing machine, so I went through and found most my stuff and organized it. This also created alot more space back there, which will make my wife and daughter happy.

And I can now find 99% of my tools... So I think it is a win win. I will kniw for sure when my wife gets home in a few hours. Fingers crossed.

Oh yeah, the washing machine need a new sensor and a motor power harness... I think. These parts should cost less than $40 total, so if that doesnt fix the problem I'm not out much.

IIRC they went through bankruptcy back in 2010/2011 time frame. One f the "partners" siphoned off all the money.

They sold off a big chunk of equipment, and let a bunch of people go, and refocused on their core business of cross border shipments. Timings about right to see trucks outside of the Mexican NE (TX)

Thankfully I dont live in Chicago. The wife and I do alright at $230 a week on our expenses. So yes, I could afford to work at $1 a mile (non owner).

Another sign that spring is here, when we can shut off the furnace. The sun is heating the enclosed porch. By 3 pm we put a fan in one of the two windows that are on the porch. That fan blows the cold air of the house onto the hot porch. It was 62 F outside, yet the porch was 90F. In one hour we had raised the heat of the home from 58F to 82F. Of course now that the wife is over heated she has the upstairs windows open. I just cant win at times.

Sounds like that would work in reverse too. Use the fans to blow porch air IN to the house in winter.
