Long story short company just put me back in a 18 speed after all automatics for a while. I have tons of experience in a 10. I have no problem getting to all my stops. The only problem I have is taking off loaded while in any gear above 1. Any gear above 1 no matter how I do it it the truck bucks like a wild horse... but only while loaded. Any advice ?
Taking off

Are you applying throttle as you let out the clutch??? If so so, quit. Just easy out on the clutch, once your foot is completely off the clutch then apply throttle.
roshea, meechyaboy and AModelCat Thank this. -
It also could be the clutch! I had one that no matter what I did it lurched and bucked, took it in for warranty and it was just a pile of crap!!! They installed a new one and back to normal.

When you are at a standing stop like a red light and are getting ready to roll make sure you do not use any throttle input to get moving. Right rear axles snap with ease especially when heavy. When you start to let up on the clutch you can feel what the truck wants. If you start to feel the bucking happening then let up on the clutch a little bit faster to make it stop. -

I concur with the above. If she bucks, its too high of gear. Its just extra stress on the truck that isn't neccessary.
Sirscrapntruckalot, meechyaboy, Roberts450 and 1 other person Thank this. -
I wish I would have taken a picture of my last clutch. It was catching on the top of some pads and the bottom of others, really strange. But no matter what gear or way I started out it would literally try to wrench my drive train. I’ve put 2million on this truck and that was first for me, ie why they warrantied it! Shop could explain it either.
